Giving Back Through Love - Sabelo Nyawo Foundation

What was meant to be a personal birthday moment became something far greater. Through the Sabelo Nyawo Foundation, this special occasion was turned into an outreach of love, dignity, and hope for children in need. Instead of celebrating in an ordinary way, support was gathered to bless disadvantaged children with shoes and to remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

This was more than a donation drive. It was a moment of human connection. It was a reminder that when communities, friends, supporters, professionals, schools, and donors come together, lives can be touched in practical and unforgettable ways.

“I would love to thank nina nonke Bazalwane ngemikhuleko yenu neminikelo yenu ngezicathulo... when you give to the needy and destitute kids, you feel it deeply.”

For some children, receiving shoes was not just receiving an item. It was receiving something they had never had before. The words, “Baba ngiyaqala mina ukuba nezicathulo”, capture the true heart of this outreach.

A Birthday Celebration with Purpose

The Giving Back Through Love campaign showed the true spirit of servant leadership. It transformed a birthday into an opportunity to meet real needs in the lives of vulnerable children. Shoes were collected and distributed, but beyond that, the day carried a message: every child matters, every child deserves dignity, and every act of kindness can leave a lasting mark.

For many donors and supporters, this was not simply about giving resources. It was about becoming part of a movement that restores confidence, inspires hope, and demonstrates the love of God through action.

The Impact on Children

The outreach touched children from several schools and communities. What made the day especially meaningful was not only the giving of shoes, but the atmosphere of care, encouragement, and support that surrounded the event.

  • Children received shoes that many of them had never owned before.
  • They were encouraged to believe in themselves and to dream bigger.
  • Eye assessments and awareness support were provided as part of the day.
  • Schools, community partners, and service providers joined hands to make the outreach successful.

Moments like these remind us that giving is not only about filling a need for today. It is also about planting confidence, identity, gratitude, and hope for tomorrow.

Schools Reached

The Foundation extends sincere appreciation to the four schools that were part of this meaningful initiative:

  • Mthulasizwe
  • Injojo
  • Siyakhanya
  • Fukula

Thank you to the principals, school governing bodies, and teachers for opening your doors, supporting the vision, and helping make this day impactful for the children.

Appreciation to Donors and Supporters

The Sabelo Nyawo Foundation gratefully acknowledges every person who prayed, donated, promoted, offered services, or supported the outreach in any way. Some supporters contributed from as far as Holland, the USA, and the UK. Others gave locally through their time, networks, expertise, transport, or public influence.

This campaign was strengthened by generous people from many different backgrounds, proving once again that compassion has no borders.

A Message of Gratitude

The words of thanks shared by Mr Nyawo carry deep emotion because this was not just an event. It was a personal and spiritual experience. To witness a child receiving something as basic and essential as shoes for the very first time is something that moves the heart.

This campaign stands as a testimony that kindness still exists, generosity still matters, and when people give with sincerity, that impact reaches beyond what can be measured. It touches homes, schools, hearts, and futures.

“Bazalwane enikwenzile kwi Sabelo Nyawo Foundation kuyobongwa eZulwini.”

To all donors, supporters, service providers, schools, board members, friends, and family: thank you. Your kindness brought joy, dignity, and visible impact to children who needed it most.
